Private Duty Nursing
Private duty nursing services are provided by a team of health professionals that includes Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses providing care to adults and pediatrics. We believe in an individualized and integrated approach in determining the desired level of care for each client. This includes the patient, family members and one of our highly trained and educated Registered Nurse supervisors. By formulating an integrated and individualized plan of care, our staff is able to provide outstanding quality care to every client, while focusing on independence and quality of life within the comforts of the client's home. As a department within Home Care Services at the University of Michigan Health System, our staff are able to begin your care prior to leaving the hospital, or at a time that is convenient for you.
We respect that you are inviting us into your home to provide your care, so we pay great attention to selecting the right professionals who will care for you. We make every effort to match staff personalities with every patient. All staff at Michigan Visiting Care are carefully screened and go through a thorough interview process. This process includes competency testing, criminal background checks and job specific training. All staff are insured and bonded.
Our services range from 4 hour shifts up to 24 hour shifts, and on an individual basis.
