Maternal Infant Health Program

As part of your care at Michigan Medicine, you are eligible for the Maternal Infant Health Program!

The Maternal Infant Health Program, or “MIHP” is a free home visiting program provided to pregnant Medicaid recipients and their babies. This home visiting program provides additional resources, education and support throughout your pregnancy and baby’s first year of life. Participants gain access to a dedicated team of healthcare providers that value your health and success in parenting. We are so glad you are taking advantage of this great benefit for both you and your baby!

Why MIHP?

Research shows that women enrolled in MIHP are less likely to deliver prematurely and have:

  • Healthier pregnancies
  • Positive birth outcomes
  • And healthy infant growth development
What our clients are saying:
"My nurse and social worker were extremely understanding and helpful. They gave me resources and my nurse even sat down to take the time to help me fill out some difficult paperwork."
